Dads & Kids' Spring on the Farm

Developing big relationships in the big outdoors

This 4-day camp at Radford Mill Community Farm was a chance for Dads from minority communities in London to develop their relationships with their children through sharing a new, inspiring environment and activities.  They did a variety of arts, environmental, health & well-being & personal/social development activities including workshops in healthy cooking and eating, fire management, outdoor circus skills, creative writing & poetry, bushcraft & green woodworking and Kazimba (an African martial art) in the rural dawn. Since attending the camp some adults, young people and families have independently been visiting Radford Mill Farm for other events and organising their own events there (birthdays, workshops etc) or have volunteered in the community vegetable growing.
