Wildcraft at Embercombe

If you are aged between 13 - 15 years old, Embercombe, on the edge of Dartmoor, is inviting you to an exciting week in nature, where you might discover your strengths and gifts, learn wild-craft skills and share fireside stories. The action packed week will honours the journey into adulthood and offer a unique combination of exciting outdoor activities and expeditions; development of personal leadership strengths; connection to the natural world; practical craft, survival and building skills. All of this combined with deep conversation and a focus on living an authentic and sustainable life.

Exmoor Perambulation

The Exmoor Perambulation, a circular long distance walk, is a traditional walk dating back over 725 years. It's one of the most challenging walks in the Exmoor annual calendar and during the 31 miles of cross country walking you will be taking in breathtaking views and accessing parts of the National Park not normally open to the public. You will also be participating in a bit of history!

Getting Out There Training Residential

You are invited to attend a weekend of training offering the opportunity to be inspired by the value of working outside of your normal environment, to learn new skills in the planning and delivery of away-day and residential programmes and workshops.  Our comprehensive programme includes:

1    Exploration of growth beyond comfort zones

2.   Reflections on working with inner city children & young people in the natural environment

3.   Building effective team work when working with new staff teams

4.   Behaviour management with challenging young people

5.   Health and Safety management of trips & residential work

6.   How to plan creative programmes of work

7.   Communication skills & using the tool of storytelling to understand ourselves

8.   Working together to develop projects for Imayla’s ‘Getting Out There’ programme
