Open Farm Sunday on 17 June 2012

Hundreds of farms up and down the country are taking part in Open Farm Sunday on 17 June - a day when thousands of people visit farms to see for themselves what farmers do. It is a fantastic opportunity to hear the story behind the food we all enjoy everyday - from breakfast to supper.

Participating farms are opening their gates to the public for guided walks, tractor and trailer rides, and opportunities to meet the animals. A flavour of the farms involved can be found on the Soil Association website.

The project will involve practical activities, seeing a range of work, meeting with other young people's groups at places such as Arnolfini and Spike Island, sharing work, skills and experience, peer mentoring and 1:1 support.
